 mood: the crustacean orgasm

sight: silver and shadows; ice to oyster to mirror under the fickle flicker of candlelight

sound: ella fitzgerald's cole porter songbook or click here for the 'isn't it romantic' iTunes playlist

touch: the tender flesh of lobster

taste: the taste of the sea, stolen by each oyster. the rich butter sauce on the lobster. the thrill of horseradish coating the prawns

smell: fresh roses

seductive, sexy and simple
  • use a mirrored table, or place a table top sized mirror on your dining table
  • place a mountian of ice in the center (sneak a clear glass plate under the ice to catch the melting water)
  • arrange the seafood on top of the ice
  • use clear glass bowls to float roses and orchids
  • light votives
  • find some retro champagne glasses
  • no plates: feed each other the lobster and prawns, set two little forks for the oysters, a black linen napkin each and a bowl of warm water with lemon wedges to rinse your fingers when you stop devouring the seafood and start devouring each other!
