  • large mixing bowl

basura blanca baked artichoke dip

(muy caliente!) 

why is the trashiest food the yummiest? why do birds sing so gay? hmm...

mix: 1/2 cup mayonnaise; 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese; 1/ 2 cup cream cheese; 1/4 cup grated parmesan (think Kraft, not fussy waiters with precious grated morsels); 1 can artichokes, chopped; 1-2 tablespoons chopped jalapeno peppers (from a jar, of course)

slice: the top off a boule of bread (yep; we're gonna bake it in the bread!). hollow out the loaf, you can keep the bread and use it to scoop the dip later. spoon the cheese and artichokes in, bake at 400 for about 20 minutes. make sure the bread doesn't burn

serve: with sliced vegetables or fruit bread

further adventures with mayonnaise: mix 1 cup mayonnaise; 2 tablespoons pesto; 2 crushed cloves garlic. serve with carrot and parsnip sticks that have been tossed in olive oil, salt and papper and baked in a hot oven until crisp
