the goods

1-2 packages of Haloumi cheese (each package is about 8 oz)
1/4 cup plain flour
olive oil
1 lemon, quartered
flat bread or pita

you will need:

  • skillet

time: 10 minutes






It's as simple as saying, 'Fried Cheese!'

slice the block of cheese lengthwise into 1/4 - 1/3 inch wedges

heat a skillet and drizzle a little olive oil in it.

dredge the cheese in a light coating of flour

sear the cheese on each side in the skillet

serve with lemon wedges and warm flat bread / pita
