1 lobster tail

1 stick butter

1 clove garlic

1 good pinch saffron threads

you will need:

  • a medium sized saucepan with a steamer attachment

time: 5-10 minutes

steamed lobster tail with saffron garlic dipping sauce 

cut: the lobster tail in half lengthways

clean: the lobster by removing the intestinal tract and rinsing in cold water

steam: lobster, flesh side down for 5-7 minutes. the flesh will turn from an opaque pearl color to white. do not overcook

remove: lobster from steamer and cover with ice to chill

melt: butter with crushed garlic and saffron

run: a knife between the flesh and shell of the lobster to loosen the tail

serve: on a plate of ice, arrange tail halves in a heart shape
