the goods:

8 oz cubed bacon

6-8 anchovy fillets

1 cup of broccoli florets

2-3 cups of pasta shells

1/2 cup olive oil, plus more for serving

2 cloves fresh garlic

1-2 tspns fresh ground black pepper

1 tblspn chopped italian parsley

time: 20 minutes

you will need:

  • medium sized skillet
  • large pot for pasta

serve with:

fig, arugula and meyer lemon salad

fasta pasta with bacon,broccoli and anchovies

fill: a large pan with water, add salt and bring to boil

heat: olive oil in a skillet, when hot add bacon, garlic and anchovy fillets. use a wooden spoon to mash the anchovies into a paste

add: pepper and broccoli to skillet

add: pasta shells to boiling water

chop: parsley

drain: pasta, toss shells into skillet

serve: in bowls, garnish with parsley, parmesan and extra pepper
